Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment (SEAH) in humanitarian, development or peacekeeping (HDP) settings causes great harm and is an unacceptable abuse of power and breach of trust. Governments, multilaterals, civil society, private sector and others are all taking steps to protect against SEAH. But approaches are not yet joined up or applied consistently across HDP work.

To help, the Common Approach to Protection from SEAH (CAPSEAH) is a proposed new guide that everyone working in HDP settings can use to improve and align their work on PSEAH. CAPSEAH has been developed by an international Steering Committee including representatives from the UN, multilateral banks, civil society, private sector, academia and others.

The webinar aimed to introduce the global consultation on the draft CAPSEAH, which is hosted online by RSH, highlight its importance, and encouraged attendees to provide their feedback and recommendations till 9 February 2024.
