Organisation

The Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub (RSH) – an initiative launched by UK’s Department for International Development in December 2019 - aims to support organisations in the aid sector to strengthen their safeguarding policy and practice, particularly against sexual exploitation, abuse and sexual harassment (SEAH). The Hub’s core offering is an online open-access platform, serving any organisation working in the international aid sector. However, smaller, local organisations in countries in the global south are the focus of the hub’s offer as they tend to have less access to safeguarding resources than international organisations.

The RSH is guided by a Consortium Advisory Group (CAG) which is a steering and reference group with the following main functions:

  • To provide advice on programme strategy and methods;
  • To advise and draw on developing country networks to ensure service uptake;
  • To ensure that Hub puts the needs of survivors and victims first and that they are reflected in the products and support provided;
  • To advise on equitable stakeholder engagement and the consistency and appropriateness of programme definitions and framing.

Middle East CAG member
We are expanding our presence into the Middle East. We want to invite a new member to join the CAG who can represent the region, who has an understanding of the issues arising for SEAH in the region and a knowledge of good practice solutions for organisations safeguarding efforts. The Terms of Reference describes in more detail the role of CAG and what we are looking for from individual members.

We are also particularly interested in inviting representative from Organisations of Persons with Disability to be considered for the CAG.

Please send expressions of interest via email to corinne@rshub.org.uk and include CV and references (or details of referees) as attachments, as well as a cover note explaining:
