Development Links Consult is a social sector development management consulting firm duly incorporated in Uganda since January 2007. Our consulting practice aims to contribute to the enhancement of the scale and effectiveness of development interventions that target vulnerable groups in Africa.
Our company structure: We blend the right people, expertise and technologies to help our client organizations improve their organisational effectiveness in the program work that they undertake. Our consulting model provides for a core team of permanent inhouse consultants and a pool of pool of vetted consultants in the specialities that resonate with our consulting practice areas. Currently, we have seven (7) core consultants and 10 on call consultants These consultants are drawn on from time to time to support the consultancy work that we undertake. In terms of company structure, we operate a functional structure with the Board of Directors at the helm of the company as the governing and policy making authority of DLC. The Resident Director provides strategic leadership to the company and works with a management team. The firm has three major departments, the Consulting services department, the Finance and Administration department and the Business development department, each headed by a manager. Consultants and research teams that support the company’s consulting work are identified and contracted by the business unit and technical supervision is conducted by the consulting unit.
Summary description of safeguarding expertise: DLC provides technical support to social Development organisations assess their safeguarding status, develop/strengthen safeguarding standards; facilitate safeguarding trainings for organisation representatives; create/strengthen safeguarding systems; audit safeguarding practices
Other areas of work: Grants management, programme design, monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, applied social research, and organisational strengthening and Planning and execution of development-oriented events such as conferences, dialogue and knowledge sharing encounters.
