International Rescue Committee (IRC)
This document sets out IRC's global framework for handling safeguarding violations experienced by clients. It covers areas including how to set up reporting mechanisms, how to be prepared for cases of SEAH being reported, responding to concerns reported by children, women and men, and training and skills needed by staff involved in reporting and response. It also sets out a learning and reflection process following closure of cases. The document also includes some practical tools like checklists, example TORs and guidance on minimum care and service response.
A template to develop localised and contextualised Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has also been developed.
