This comprehensive guidance note provides clear guidance for private sector companies and investors on Gender-Based Violence and Harassment (GBVH). It provides a clear rationale for companies to address GBVH in the following scenarios: when it occurs among a company’s workers, in its supply chain, between workers and community members or service users, among users of a company’s services or infrastructure, within workers’ families and intimate relationships, or is perpetrated by local authorities against workers, community members or service users. It then provides guidance on the different steps that both private sector companies and investors should take to address these manifestations of GBVH, encourage reporting and safely respond to concerns of GBV.

The guidance note is also accompanied by three sector briefs on addressing GBVH in manufacturing, public transportation and construction.
